Thanks for all the birthday wishes :)

It was the first birthday away from family and to be honest, while trying to push that blatant fact to the back of my mind, I realised that I’d almost forgotten about my “other” family – the friends that have become like family made SURE I didn’t miss home too much :)
I would write about the events surrounding this birthday, but it’s one of those things which can’t be described – words really fail me. And where words fail me, emotions usually take over, so just this once, you as a reader will have to participate in the effectiveness of this post: picture a teary-eyed me (with slight hints of ‘the smile’) and that’s all you need to do.
